《Good Time》歌曲的创作过程则是在美国明尼苏达完成的。亚当·扬表示，自己因为想要写一首每一个人都能够边走边唱的歌曲，于是就创作出这首作品  。而亚当·扬与卡莉·蕾·杰普森合作，则是因为他在制作专辑《The Midsummer Station》的时候。

就一直打算邀请一位女歌手合作，恰好在那段时间他听到了卡莉·蕾·杰普森的作品。之后，亚当·扬主动联系她并在邮件上说，自己希望能够邀请到她一起合作   。此外，在创作歌曲的过程中，亚当·扬负责编写歌词，马修·蒂森和布莱恩·李则协助编制简谱  。
